![Hot Chocolate on a stick
Recipe
My recipe[makes +/- 10]225 g milk chocolate chips [you can use what ever you would like… most people prefer bittersweet]1/4 cup cocoa1/2 cup powdered sugara pinch of saltsticksIce Tray *Sift sugar & cocoa in bowl / set aside*Melt the chocolate until 3/4 is melted …au bain marie (bowl above hot water is fine) *Remove from heat and continue to stir until all of the chips are melted*Add the sugar/cocoa mix & salt*Then using a piping bag or a ziploc bag fill the ice cube trays[I also use plastic shot glasses]Let the mixture cool of a bit and then add the sticks. [keep in mind your mug size when deciding which length of sticks to use]Place them now in the fridge. I let them set there a few minutes then check that the sticks are still straight. I repeat this until I am sure they will not fall over.Then heat milk and make some hot chocolate.OptionsI sometimes add cinnamon, espresso powder, chili powder & flavouring such as mint or vanilla. *Sift sugar & cocoa in bowl / set aside
*Melt the chocolate until 3/4 is melted …au bain marie (bowl above hot water is fine)
